This project was built around the idea of editorial glamour with a sense of chaos — the joy of layering without restraint. Drawing from 90s fashion imagery and flash-led studio photography, the visual world feels candid, energetic, and slightly unpolished.
Jewellery is treated as emotion rather than accessory: stacked, mixed, excessive. Pearls sit beside spikes, rings pile up, and nothing feels too considered. The camera catches laughter, movement, and glimmers mid-moment, like someone being flashed at a fashion party, caught between poses.
Casting focused on expression and energy, allowing the jewellery to become part of the body and the mood; stacked, clashing, emotional. Laughter, movement and cropped-in moments give the work a lived-in feel, where fashion doesn’t perform but simply exists. It’s maximal styling with a human edge, a return to tangible, sensory glamour that feels playful, confident, and real.
I worked across pre- and post-production, leading the development of the creative direction, leading casting, building the crew, and carrying the project through to post-production.
The images were created for use across Moon + Star’s social channels, website, TikTok, and printed touchpoints, becoming part of the brand’s wider visual language.
