This project was built around the idea of fashion as ritual, a quiet exploration of reverence, space, and presence. Sanctum was created for the University of Nottingham Fashion Society’s annual showcase, using an old church as the setting to frame the garments within a sense of stillness and subtle drama.

The visual language leans into restraint, with soft light, muted movement, and a considered pace that allows the space to speak as much as the clothing. The church becomes more than a backdrop, it holds the work and adds a sense of intimacy and quiet intensity. Garments are treated with care, worn with minimal performance, allowing shape, texture, and silhouette to take focus.

I led the creative direction and production of the shoot, shaping the concept in response to both the space and the brief. From planning through to execution, I ensured the outcome felt cohesive and intentional, balancing the presence of the location with the needs of the fashion. The final imagery was created for use across the society’s social channels and website, forming part of the visual identity for their annual show.
