Pyjamas for Lunch was built around the idea of shared authorship — exploring what happens when the model moves from subject to collaborator. Pyjamas for Lunch centres on intimacy, comfort, and personal expression, with the creative process shaped as much by the model as by direction.

The visual language feels soft, close, and unforced. Shot in my flat with a minimal team, the setting creates a sense of familiarity and ease, allowing the images to feel natural and lived-in. Styling was led by the model herself, giving her full control over how she was seen, while she also had the final say in image selection. This shifted the dynamic of the shoot, creating a more open and instinctive process.

Casting focused on trust and presence, allowing space for the model’s personality to lead. The result is work that feels collaborative rather than constructed, where authorship is shared and the images reflect a genuine exchange rather than a fixed direction.

I led casting and creative direction, shaping the framework of the project while intentionally stepping back to allow space for contribution. The final images were produced for the photographer’s Catalyst Magazine, capturing a quieter, more personal approach to image-making grounded in collaboration.
